چکیده
Introduction: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the gold standard treatment for cholelithiasis. Postoperative shoulder tip pain common complaint. Evidences suggest that using low pressure pneumoperitoneum (8-10 mmHg) during procedure rather than (12-14 decreases incidence and severity of without compromising working space.
Aims: The aim this study was to evaluate impact on post laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
Methods: A prospective hospital based conducted at Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur from January 2019 December 2020. Hundred patients were enrolled, fifty each in “low carbondioxide pneumoperitoneum” “standard groups, who underwent cholecystectomy. two groups compared terms pain, surgeon’s satisfaction score, top-up analgesia requirement, procedural time, conversion pressure, intraoperative complications length stay.
Results: There 45 (90%) females five (10%) males group 44 (88%) six (12%) group. Fourteen (28%) 32 (64%) had (p=0.001). less significant eight hours (p=0.006) 12 (p=0.008). Top-up required more no but only one pressure. Surgeon’s open time comparable both with shorter stay group.
Conclusion: Low safe effective strategy reducing after

Randomized trial of low-pressure carbon dioxide-elicited pneumoperitoneum versus abdominal wall lifting for laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
BACKGROUND Two alternative surgical techniques for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC), low-pressure insufflation of the peritoneal cavity and abdominal wall lifting (AWL), have been developed over time to minimize the disadvantages associated with CO2-elicited pneumoperitoneum. To the best of our knowledge, the 2 methods have seldom been compared as regards their relative advantages and...

Background and Objectives: CO2 insuflation constitutes the commonest means of creating the pneumoperitoneum (PP), but it is attributed to many post-laparoscopic cholecystecomy adverse effects including pain triggering. The aim of this trial was to evaluate the efficacy of low-pressure CO2 PP during laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) in reducing the incidence of postoperative pain. Methods: A dou...
متن کاملPain management after laparoscopic cholecystectomy-a randomized prospective trial of low pressure and standard pressure pneumoperitoneum.
BACKGROUND Abdominal pain and shoulder tip pain after laparoscopic cholecystectomy are distressing for the patient. Various causes of this pain are peritoneal stretching and diaphragmatic irritation by high intra-abdominal pressure caused by pneumoperitoneum . We designed a study to compare the post operative pain after laparoscopic cholecystectomy at low pressure (7-8 mm of Hg) and standard pr...
متن کاملEffect of intra-abdominal pressure on post-laparoscopic cholecystectomy shoulder tip pain: A randomized control trial.
OBJECTIVE To compare the effect of intra-abdominal pressure on postoperative shoulder-tip pain in laparoscopic cholecystectomy. METHODS This was a randomized control study, conducted at Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar from January to August 2013 on160 patients, randomized to two groups i.e. the low pressure (LPLC) and the standard pressure group (SPLC) where the intra abdominal pressures were ...
متن کاملImpact of low-pressure pneumoperitoneum and local anesthetic combination on postoperative pain in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy
Objective. Despite the advantages of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC), postoperative pain remains a major complaint for many patients. In this study, in patients undergoing LC, the application of LC via incisional bupivacaine and low inflation pressure, alone or combined, and a comparison of the effects on postoperative pain has been purposed. Methods. Patients were randomly assigned into the ...
